After my husband and I adopted our three beautiful children in 2007, we had a lot of new children’s bedding and clothing to buy! Most of what I could find left me wanting. I didn’t want superheroes or white on white or clothes that made a small girl look like she was about to go clubbing!
I wanted sheep and crazy Japanese turtles and cute children and ladybugs, in subtle colours and strong designs. I took matters into my own hands and started to make beautiful patchwork bedcovers myself. Once I started finding fabrics, it became an obsession. I could NOT STOP making beautiful bedding. It made me feel warm and fuzzy and my kids loved it as much as I did.
This quickly turned into clothing as these beautiful prints were just begging to be used in children’s clothes! Friends started asking for clothes and bedding for their kids, and Aunty Ollie was born in late 2008.
The clothes feature absolutely gorgeous prints in classic designs with lots of room to grow and play! The prints I use are inspired by days gone by and my pleasure in making everyday life just a little bit more gorgeous!
